Doom Eternal's Launch has been Delayed!

ID Software has just announced that Doom Eternal, the sequel to the smash hit reboot of Doom 2016, will be delayed until March 2020. This is what we know so far.
ID Software announced that they feel that they only want to launch the best possible experience for the fans and this is the main reason for delaying the game for a few months and moving it from the original date being November 25th. There was further information that was also announced:
Invasion Mode: which will allow you to enter another players game as a playable demon and will release as a free update shortly after launch.
Doom Eternal for Nintendo Switch: will release after the other platforms. A date will be announced in future.
Doom 64: will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in addition to Nintendo Switch. They are adding Doom 64 as a pre-order bonus for Doom Eternal on all platform so you will be able to download and play this classic game for free just for pre-ordering Doom Eternal. Doom 64 will be released on March 20 2020 on all platforms.
I am a huge fan of the Doom series and all things Bethesda/ID Software, but I have to say, rather let them patch and fix what ever they need to in order to give us a more polished experience when it launchs next year than rushing the process. The news still stings like a super shotgun hit to the face for the fans but at least we have a confirmed new date of March 2020.
