It has been a rather long time since we have seen any form of Mortal Kombat movie released and now that wait might be over, with the first official trailer release of the animated film, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpions Revenge.
Warner Bros. Animation is currently working on an Animated Mortal Kombat movie and is reported to debut in the first half of this year already. There is some noticable people involved in the production cycle of this film as it is to be directed by Ethan Spaulding (Batman: Assault on Arkham, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis), from a script by Jeremy Adams (Supernatural, Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans) and Netherrealm Studios’ Ed Boon is a creative consultant on the project.
Furthermore, Joel McHale will voice Johnny Cage, while Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter will voice star as Sonya Blade. From the trailer you can expect Goro, Jax Briggs, Kano, Kitana, Lui Kang, Quan Chi, Raiden, Shang Tsung, Sub-Zero and more favourite characters to make an appearance in the file. This is a great surprise for any Mortal Kombat fan as we are still waiting for the debut of the new movie, which is apparently targeted for next year March 2021.
