No Zombies and 20 Players in Modern Warfare!

As the information slides out regarding the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare reboot game, features start becoming more apparent that Infinity Ward are trying to implement some new takes into the new title revolving around CO-OP and Multiplayer.

So far the game will not be featuring a Season Pass and you will receive free DLC during the life cycle of the game. They are also expanding the general player base by including for the first time, cross platform play. This will drastically change the way their matchmaking has worked in the past.

Furthermore, a new piece of information that has surfaced recently and according to the PlayStation Store listing of the upcoming game, Modern Warfare multiplayer will feature a 20-player mode. This may indicate a entirely new game mode that will be packaged with the new title or maybe they are just expanding on the traditional Team Death match model among others.

Infinity Ward did confirm that there will be NO zombie mode in the next Call of Duty by stating "because they focus on more of the stylised, graphic novel, super-hero experience, they can have the much more ‘out there’ different types of game play in their games.

But for us, we’re trying to create an authentic, realistic feeling world. We don’t have the flexibility to do something like put zombies in the game. That would compromise the feeling of playing in a world that feels realistic and authentic and relative to today’s conflicts and things we face.” They may go back to the Spec-Ops Co-Op mode from the original franchise or maybe just surprise us with something else entirely.

One thing is for sure, Infinity Ward are trying to find their roots again and that winning formula from 2007, with the added technology of a new Game Engine that will support 4k with HDR and Ray Tracing technology (only on PC) and spiced up features that players are most certainly dying to experience as am I being a long fan of the series. Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be releasing on the 25 October on PS4, Xbox one and PC.
